Hotel The George

Summer 2006 saw the completion of a major £12 million refurbishment of this two hundred year old grade II listed building which will clearly reposition The George Hotel to its rightful position at the top end of the 4 star Edinburgh hotel market.

Although retaining many of the original architectural details, most of the 199 hotel's bedrooms, many with views of Edinburgh Castle or the Firth of Forth, have been transformed and given a contemporary new look. Wireless or broadband access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel now also boasts one of George Street's coolest bar and restaurant adventures, Tempus, offering sophisticated contemporary surroundings and the best of local produce and international wines and cocktails.

Management wish to inform guests that there is a minimum 3 day cancelation policy on all reservations and unless this is cancelled within this period prior to arrival, the hotel will charge the costs of the full nights stay for every night booked on the original booking basis.
